Phil Grabsky follows up his “In Search of Mozart” with a further Juliet Stevenson-narrated music documentary, letting dozens of musicians and musicologist let fly with their esteem for the composer’s stern work ethic and beautiful output. If you like a glut of excitable talk about accepted high art, the Ludwig-lauding “In Search of Beethoven” will be your cup of twee. With Emanuel Ax, Roger Norrington and many, many more talking heads. 138m. (Ray Pride)

I’ve seen this film and it is remarkable. I admit I loved Grabski’s previous Mozart film – and his Agfhan film The Boy Who.. but this is great movie-making. Course he starts with the best sound track possible…I especially love the camerawork. And all the jokes. Go see, people!
